Full biography
Jeremy Tammik holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany — a foundation that shaped his rigorous, analytical approach to software development and technical communication.
He joined Autodesk in 1988 as a European technology evangelist for AutoCAD, becoming one of the company's earliest and most enduring voices in developer relations. During his first tenure, he co-founded ADGE (Autodesk Developer Group Europe), helping to build a continent-wide community of developers around Autodesk's platform.
In 1993, he published Das AutoCAD Development System ADS (Rossipaul Verlag, Munich) — an early technical reference for AutoCAD developers that remains a testament to his commitment to knowledge-sharing.
He left Autodesk in 1994 to work on HVAC development software, broadening his expertise in applied engineering software outside the Autodesk ecosystem. He returned in 2005, joining the AEC workgroup within ADN DevTech (the Autodesk Developer Network), where he has remained since — helping thousands of developers navigate the Revit API and Autodesk Platform Services.
Since 2008, Jeremy has authored over 2,080 posts on The Building Coder, the definitive resource for Revit API developers worldwide. He also ran The 3D Web Coder from 2015–2016, documenting the emerging world of AEC web development.
Today, Jeremy is based in Bern, Switzerland, and serves as an advisor at Bimrock AI — bringing his deep domain expertise to the next wave of AI-powered construction technology.
He is fluent in six European languages, a passionate amateur DJ volunteering at Body and Soul Barfussdisco Basel since 2010, and an avid cook, climber, hiker, and nature enthusiast.
